Magewell Director One Compact Streaming Switcher with Touchscreen

The Magewell Director One is a compact, powerful all-in-one streaming switcher designed for professional live production. Featuring a 7" AMOLED touchscreen with 800-nit brightness and an ultrahigh contrast ratio, it provides clear and vibrant visuals for precise monitoring. Acting as multiple essential production tools, including a switcher, recorder, and encoder, the Director One allows users to efficiently manage multi-camera broadcasts. With flexible input options, including two HDMI and two USB-A 3.0 AV inputs, as well as support for NDI, SRT, RTMP, and RTSP sources, the switcher offers unparalleled versatility. Its HDMI and USB-C AV outputs further expand connectivity, making it an ideal tool for both in-studio and on-location shoots.

 

The inclusion of a built-in 4G modem, two 4G antennas, and two Wi-Fi antennas ensures reliable network performance, enabling stable remote streaming. The Director One encodes video up to 1080p at 60 fps for high-quality streaming to platforms like YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch, and custom RTMP destinations as well as SRT for remote production workflows and NDI|HX3 for local IP-based production. Content can be recorded to an SD card or the 64GB of internal storage, with ISO recording options for flexible postproduction workflows. Production tools include customizable layouts, chroma keying, and built-in graphics for dynamic broadcasts. Power options include a 12 VDC/3.5A input and dual NP-F battery mounts for extended operation in the field.
