AJA's Hi5-4K 4K SDI to HDMI Converter converts four SDI outputs that together carry a 4K signal to one HDMI 1.4a output for connection to a 4K HDMI monitor. Both the SDI inputs and HDMI output support embedded audio. You can convert four 1.5G SDI signals, two dual-stream 3G signals, or four 3G signals. You can also convert 1080 and 720 HD signals and 525/625 SD signals to HDMI. Conversions are configured on an included MiniConfig software application compatible with Macs and PCs. The Converter syncs up to the application via a USB cable connection to the host computer. A USB cable and a universal power supply are also included. Typical professional 4K workflows use four SDI cables to carry the full resolution image, and the Hi5-4K Converter converts all four to an HDMI output. AudioUp to 8-channels of embedded audio in the incoming SDI signal are carried through seamlessly into the HDMI 1.4a output, ensuring that your audio is in sync and can be played back on the connected monitor. 4K and UltraHDTypical 4K signals use a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels while UltraHD signals measure 3840 x 2160. This difference can prevent some monitors from being used either in full 4K workflows or in UltraHD workflows. Hi5-4K can compensate for these resolution differences, allowing UltraHD monitors to be used in 4K productions and vice versa. HD SupportWhen you're not working in 4K, Hi5-4K can still be a useful tool for converting HD-SDI to HDMI. A single HD-SDI signal coming into the Hi5-4K will be sent out as an HD resolution HDMI signal.
