Control up to seven PTZ cameras from a single controller using this RS7-HR 1x7 RS-232/RS-485 Home-Run Splitter/Amplifier from Marshall Electronics. The RS7-HR features one RJ45 input and seven RJ45 outputs that support RS-232 or RS-422 serial control communication. A switch on the back of the unit changes the communication protocol between RS-232 and RS-422. The unit is compatible with a variety of RS-232 and RS-422 serial PTZ controllers such as the Marshall VS-PTC-IP and the VS-PTC-200.
You can run a Cat 5/6 cable, as well as any optional adapters, between your controller and the unit and one to a PTZ camera for a total run of up to 656' using RS-232 communication and up to 1969' using RS-422 communication. The unit is powered using the included 5V power adapter and it includes 1 RU rack ears for mounting.
