The CE1 Contribution Encoder is an integral component of MediaKind’s Contribution and Distribution offering, ensuring the reliable capture of live events in the highest quality, with minimal transmission latency and bandwidth usage. Representing the latest generation of contribution encoders from MediaKind, the CE1 delivers exceptional performance and low-latency video compression. It supports the latest IP standards, including UHD SMPTE ST 2110, SRT, RIST, and Zixi, as well as BISS-CA encryption to safeguard valuable, high-quality contribution feeds. With the option for a satellite modulator output, the CE1 is also ideal for news gathering applications, solidifying its position as the 7th generation DSNG platform. The CE1 offers a highly flexible contribution encoding platform, supporting basic MPEG 4:2:0 8-bit HD video encoding up to the highest quality, low-bitrate HEVC 4:2:2 10-bit UHD, High Dynamic Range, Wide Color Gamut video encoding, and even lossless light compression using JPEG-XS. Its modular design allows for easy configuration and future upgrades through the addition of software licenses or hardware option cards, ensuring adaptability to evolving standards and technologies. Built on a ruggedized X86 server platform with four PCIE option card slots, the CE1 is well-positioned to support new standards and protocols as they emerge and gain adoption.
