The IP-1 iPad/Tablet Teleprompter from Mirror Image allows you to use a tablet such as an iPad as a teleprompter monitor. This creates a lightweight solution when compared to monitor-based prompters, and foregoes the need for a separate computer. The tablet bracket is a universal tray, and will accommodate just about any tablet with a screen of 10.4" or smaller. The camera bracket features a riser so that most size cameras can be centered behind the beamsplitter. The IP-1 features a "light-tight" shroud design that will not let light from the rear of the beamsplitter enter the mirror area and produce glare.
At 15.5 x 12.5", the beamsplitter is designed to accommodate wide-angle lenses, even in the 16:9 format. It is made entirely of glass, and is secured by a steel frame with baked-on powder coat finish. The entire teleprompter assembly, including the beamsplitter, weighs 12 pounds and does not require additional counter weights regardless of what size camera is used.
In addition to a tablet, you will need to download a teleprompting app from the app store used by your mobile device.
