The MM-4000 from MXL is a compact, battery- or USB-powered 4-channel audio mixer and audio interface designed for recording four microphones as a summed, mono signal to a mobile phone, tablet, DSLR, or computer.
It supports up to four dynamic or electret condenser microphones through 3.5mm (1/8") TRRS input jacks. Each input offers approximately 45 dB of gain via a dedicated level control. A 3.5mm (1/8") TRRS line out jack, with adjustable level, is provided for recording the mono analog output to a mobile device or DSLR. The 3.5mm (1/8") TRS headphone output and corresponding level control enable easy headphone monitoring. In computer-based setups, USB connectivity allows use of the mixer as an audio interface for recording and playback.
The MM-4000's compact design uses less area than a 3 x 5" card, making it easy to transport in small cases and bags. It can be powered via batteries or a USB connection, and features a switch to choose the desired power source. Multiple cables are included for connection with a variety of devices.
