Sachtler Sideload Camera Platform & Plate for Select Sachtler Fluid Heads

The Sachtler Sideload Camera Platform & Plate for Select Sachtler Fluid Heads replaces the original camera platform on a Sachtler FSB 6, FSB 8, or Cine DSLR Fluid Head. This allows you to upgrade your fluid head from the original "Touch & Go" style camera platform to the Sideload platform, or replace a worn/damaged camera platform. The Sideload platform utilizes a separately available Sideload Plate S sliding balance plate for balancing your camera on the head.

This allows the platform to provide approximately twice as much sliding range as a "Touch & Go" platform that features a sliding cradle for balance. However, the Sideload platform provides the best of both worlds as it allows you to mount camera and plate from the top, similar to the way a "Touch & Go" system works. This means you can quickly mount and unmount your camera, without having to line up the plate with the channel in the head, which is time consuming, and can become difficult when you are supporting a heavy camera.
