This RAID system will support SAS and SATA drives (4TB and above). It retains the same style and design of A08S3-PS and its predecessor but has had a major upgrade to its central core. It now uses PCIe 2.0 technology with throughput of up to 1200 MB/s. with a C1M convertor, making this the most affordable Thunderbolt solution yet.

Functionality for Reliability
Video streaming applications have a strong requirement for very smooth, steady and sustained performance to prevent frame dropping. Overcoming these issues Accusys provides the EQ Mode and the DLP functions.
 
Equalization Mode
By selecting the RAIDGuard X GUI, the “Performance Equalization mode” can be used to prevent frame drops, ensure smooth I/Os, and achieve stable performance with the smallest peaks in bandwidth fluctuation, meaning that users can regain as much as 20% in dropped storage.
 
DLP (Disk Lag Proof)
RAIDGuard X also utilizes DLP technology. In the event of a single hard disk read speed performance degradation, delay or aging, other hard disks can resume stable I/O data transfer of corrected data in real-time based on RAID parity.
 
Interface precise suitable for Media workgroup PCIe V.S FC V.S SAS
 
Different from other interfaces which double the time of signal transporting, PCIe interface provides the highest speed, lowest retardation and consistent stability data flow. A08S2-TS supports 6G SAS and SATA hard-disks, users can select hard drives according to their usage and budget. 
 
For users who pursue an cost-friendly storage system, SATA HDD is an ideal choice to build up a 32TB-large capacity based on 4TB drives, for users who demand high data security, they can choose high stability and optimized performance SAS HDD to process high data flow. Base on PCIe's high specification, which provides 800MB/s bandwidth in every channel, the A08S2-TS has four data transmission channel, in total 20Gb/s of bandwidth. 
 
The A08S2’s 1200MB/s is powerful and be capable to meet most post production works' requirements. The A08S2-TS’ high performance is not only stands for maximizing the utilization of every HDD but also represents the quality, standard and efficiency at film editing process for media workgroup.
 
Unique design for cooling 
Different from the usual solution that the RAID card combined with JBOD, the RAID controller of A08S2-TS is designed in its system which the problem of host overheating will not happened. In addition, two 12cm x 12cm built-in FAN module maximize the cooling efficiency, low radiation and low-noise.
