VariZoom VZ-ZGRIG Zero Gravity Rig

The Zero Gravity™ Rig is VariZoom’s new, patent-pending, shock-absorbing camera support with a unique center-of-gravity correction system. This innovation is a vertical position adjustment for the camera platform, which allows the user to find the camera’s center of gravity and balance it directly on the tilt axis, eliminating a problem found on all previous supports: unstable tilting caused by a high center of gravity.

The result of perfect balance is an effortless tilting action unique to the Zero Gravity™ Rig. The shock-absorbing pod attaches to a curved support arm isolated from the tilt mechanism, and another innovation is the ability to keep the shock-pod attached to the main unit in a collapsed position, simplifying mount and dismount. Optional V-lock and 3-stud pro battery mounts are available in place of the rear counterweight.

Able to handle much heavier cameras than our MediaRig, the ZG Rig offers an impressive range of adjustments to fit just about any body type or shooting preference. Configurable to right or left shoulder mounts, high or low angles, and near or far mounting positions, the ZG Rig will accommodate a huge range of needs, including cutting-edge DSLR applications. The system comes with an extra-long accessory mount for monitors, lights, mics, etc.
