High-Quality Video Conversion

The AJA Hi5-12G converts 12G-SDI input into HDMI 2.0 output while maintaining pristine image fidelity. It supports 4K/UltraHD resolutions up to 60p, ensuring smooth playback and accurate colors. The device is ideal for professional monitoring and post-production workflows.

HDR Support

Hi5-12G can generate HDR metadata according to HDMI v2.0b and CTA-861-G standards. It also supports Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) for modern HDR displays, providing richer colors, brighter whites, and deeper blacks for realistic imagery.

Flexible Connectivity

The device includes a reclocked 12G-SDI loop output, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into SDI pipelines. Fiber SFP-equipped variants (Hi5-12G-R and Hi5-12G-TR) allow long-distance video transport, making it suitable for distributed production environments.

Audio Integration

Hi5-12G supports up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio and outputs 8-channel HDMI audio. Analog audio outputs provide direct monitoring, while embedded Dolby Digital (AC-3), Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3), and Atmos (JOC) formats are fully supported.

User-Friendly Configuration

The device is configurable via USB using AJA’s free Mini-Config software. Users can control input/output formats, load firmware updates, and monitor device status from Windows or Mac systems.
