The AJA HA5-12G is designed to convert HDMI 2.0 signals into 12G-SDI output, enabling seamless integration of HDMI sources into professional SDI workflows. It supports resolutions up to 4K and UltraHD at 60 frames per second, ensuring high-quality signal conversion for broadcast and production environments.

Dual Output and Signal Distribution

The converter features two mirrored 12G-SDI outputs, allowing users to send the same signal to multiple destinations simultaneously. This makes it ideal for monitoring setups, signal distribution, and multi-device workflows without requiring additional splitters.

HDR and Image Processing Support

HA5-12G supports HDR workflows by analyzing HDR infoframe data from HDMI sources. It allows metadata pass-through or override, ensuring compatibility with HDR displays and maintaining accurate color and contrast reproduction.

Advanced Audio Integration

The device supports embedded audio from HDMI sources as well as external analog audio via RCA inputs. It can embed up to 16 channels of audio into the SDI output and supports formats like Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and Atmos for professional audio workflows.

Flexible Connectivity with Fiber Options

Fiber-enabled models (HA5-12G-T and HA5-12G-T-ST) extend signal transmission up to 10 km over single-mode fiber using LC or ST connectors. This makes the converter suitable for large-scale production environments requiring long-distance signal distribution.

EDID Emulation and Frame Rate Conversion

HA5-12G includes EDID emulation to ensure the source continuously outputs the desired video format. It also supports frame rate conversion between fractional and integer frame rates, improving compatibility across different systems.
