The AJA HD5DA is a compact and cost-effective 1x4 HD-SDI/SDI distribution amplifier designed to distribute a single SDI signal to multiple outputs while maintaining signal integrity. Signal Distribution Capability

The device takes one SDI input and distributes it to four separately buffered outputs. Each output delivers an identical signal, ensuring consistent quality across connected devices such as monitors, switchers, and recorders.

Format Support and Compatibility

The HD5DA supports multiple SDI formats including HD-SDI and SD-SDI. It automatically detects and adapts to various data rates such as 143, 177, 270, 360 Mbps, and 1.5 Gbps, allowing seamless integration into mixed-format workflows.

Auto Equalization and Signal Stability

Built-in automatic cable equalization allows the unit to compensate for signal loss over coaxial cable runs up to 100 meters. This ensures stable and reliable signal transmission even over longer distances.

Repetition and Signal Extension

In addition to distribution, the HD5DA functions as a repeater by regenerating the SDI signal, helping maintain signal quality across extended cable lengths or complex routing setups.
