The AJA Hi5-Plus is designed to bridge the gap between professional SDI workflows and HDMI-based displays. It converts 3G-SDI signals into HDMI 1.4 output, making it easy to integrate modern monitors into broadcast, editing, and live production environments.

Wide Format Compatibility

Hi5-Plus supports a range of formats including HD, 2K, and SD resolutions. It is capable of handling progressive and PsF formats, converting PsF signals into progressive output for compatibility with HDMI displays that do not natively support PsF.

Deep Color and Image Quality

When paired with compatible HDMI monitors, the Hi5-Plus delivers up to 30-bit Deep Color RGB output. This ensures accurate color reproduction, smooth gradients, and high-quality image representation for professional viewing and monitoring.

Audio Handling and Synchronization

The device supports up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio input, which can be passed through to 8-channel HDMI embedded audio. It also includes 2-channel analog RCA outputs for direct monitoring. Audio delay adjustment (0 to 7 frames) ensures proper synchronization between audio and video.

Flexible Workflow Integration

Hi5-Plus allows seamless integration of HDMI devices into SDI-based workflows. Whether used in an edit suite, on set, or at live events, it provides a reliable monitoring solution that simplifies connectivity between different video standards.

The converter is configured via USB using AJA’s Mini-Config software on Mac or Windows systems. This enables users to easily adjust settings, monitor signal status, and manage device configuration without complex setup procedures.
