Evertz KeyLog Tracker™ is a dedicated graphical user interface software engineered to streamline film-to-tape transfer sessions on standard Windows hardware. Functioning as the core control software for the Evertz Film Post Production System, KeyLog Tracker™ centralizes hardware units—such as the HDSD9045TR Film Footage Encoder, 5550 KeyKode Reader, and HDSD9155Q Afterburner Inserter—to handle real-time video timecode generation, KeyKode reading, 3:2 pulldown tracking, and ancillary data insertion.

Comprehensive Hardware Configuration and Character Burn-Ins

The software provides granular control over hardware parameters via a graphical configuration editor. Operators can configure up to 33 separate character burn-in windows for real-time display of Video/Audio timecode, KeyKode, Ink numbers, slate information, and custom user text. An electronic virtual slate displays critical production metadata at the start of each take for master transfers without persistent burn-ins. Custom hardware configurations can be saved as unlimited presets and recalled automatically upon opening a project.

Robust Event Logging and Database Management

KeyLog Tracker™ delivers frame-accurate logging across multiple transfer workflows—from head/tail logging on one-light transfers to automatic event capture via pre-determined tag points on synced print transfers. Event lists can be viewed and edited in a spreadsheet interface, where operators can trim in/out points, clean up overlapping events, and sort data by tape roll, camera roll, scene, or KeyKode. Logged session data exports seamlessly to standard NLE transfer list formats (KEYLOG FTL, Avid ALE, TLC FLEx, Lightworks ODB) for post-production editing.
