Features & Specifications
Product Overview +
HTC Vive Mars CamTrack is built to remove the complexity that usually surrounds virtual production. Instead of managing multiple devices, cables, and calibration steps, Mars brings everything into a small, portable box. It combines tracking, lens profiling, genlock, and timecode into a single workflow, giving productions a reliable foundation for XR, green-screen composites, and real-time backgrounds.
Accurate Multi-Camera Tracking
Using SteamVR base stations and specialized tracking modules, the system delivers pinpoint positional and rotational accuracy. You can run up to three tracked cameras simultaneously, each with stable, repeatable tracking suitable for live TV, film, or immersive content creation.
Automatic Lens Calibration for Real-Time Workflows
One of Mars CamTrack’s strengths is how it handles lenses. The system automatically builds lens distortion profiles, matching zoom and focus positions in real time. This means clean composites, tighter frustum alignment, and faster onset readiness without heavy manual calibration.
Genlock and Timecode for Seamless Sync
Virtual production falls apart without synchronization, and Mars handles this internally. With native support for genlock and timecode, your cameras, engines, and tracking data are always aligned, eliminating jitter and drift during fast-moving scenes.
Optimized for Unreal Engine and Live Broadcast
Mars CamTrack works natively with Unreal Engine, Unity, and FreeD-compatible broadcast equipment, making it easy to integrate into LED volume setups, green-screen studios, news environments, or live event stages. Its low latency ensures responsive parallax and stable compositing.
Portable, Production-Ready Hardware
Everything packs into a compact, rugged chassis so crews can move quickly between locations. Setup is simple—mount base stations, attach trackers, run calibration, and you’re ready. Its clean workflow reduces setup time and allows small teams to operate large VP environments efficiently.
