12G-SDI Fiber Transceiver

The FiDO-TR-12G is a bidirectional fiber transceiver designed to convert 12G-SDI signals to and from single-mode LC fiber. It supports full-rate 12G-SDI as well as legacy formats, including 6G, 3G, HD, and SD-SDI, making it highly versatile for mixed production environments.

Bidirectional Signal Transmission

This unit functions as both a transmitter and receiver, enabling simultaneous two-way communication over a single duplex LC fiber connection. This eliminates the need for separate transmitter and receiver units in many workflows.

Long-Distance Fiber Transport

FiDO-TR-12G supports transmission distances up to 10 km (32,808 ft) over standard single-mode fiber. This allows reliable signal extension across large studios, campuses, or remote production sites without signal degradation.

Format-Agnostic Operation

The device supports a wide range of SDI formats from 270 Mbps up to 12 Gbps. It automatically detects and processes incoming signals without requiring manual configuration, simplifying deployment in dynamic environments.

HDR Metadata Pass-Through

FiDO-TR-12G supports HDR metadata pass-through, allowing High Dynamic Range information to be preserved across the fiber link. This ensures accurate color and luminance reproduction in HDR-enabled workflows.

Compact and Rack-Friendly Design

Designed for flexibility, the compact enclosure allows installation in tight spaces such as behind racks, inside mobile production trucks, or mounted directly on camera rigs.

Reliable Professional Powering

The unit operates on 5–20V DC power and includes a universal power supply. Its locking power connector ensures stable operation in field and studio environments.
