OG-3G-AMD Overview

The OG-3G-AMD is an openGear 3G-SDI 8-channel AES audio embedder and disembedder designed for professional broadcast environments. It supports video formats up to 1080p60 and provides flexible AES and embedded SDI audio routing within a single modular card.

3G-SDI Video Support

The device supports 3G-SDI input and output with automatic detection of input video standards. It is compatible with SD, HD, and 2K formats, ensuring stable integration in broadcast infrastructures.

AES Audio Embedding and Disembedding

The unit provides 4 AES BNC inputs and 4 AES BNC outputs supporting 8 channels of 24-bit digital audio. AES inputs are sample rate converted to 48kHz synchronous with video. Audio embedding is selectable per channel pair, allowing flexible routing between AES and embedded SDI audio.

System Integration

Designed for high-density openGear frames, the OG-3G-AMD integrates seamlessly into broadcast systems. It supports remote configuration and monitoring through Ross DashBoard software on Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms, as well as local DIP switch control.
