Advanced Real-Time Color Processing for Broadcast and Production

The OG-ColorBox is a high-performance openGear card designed for real-time HDR, SDR, and wide color gamut signal processing. It is built for broadcast trucks, live events, and on-set color management workflows where precision and latency are critical.

Multi-Pipeline Color Engine

The system features six professional processing pipelines including AJA Color, ACES, NBCU LUTs, and others. Each pipeline supports different color science workflows, enabling seamless conversion between HDR and SDR formats while preserving creative intent.

High Precision 12-bit Processing

At its core, OG-ColorBox uses a 33-point 3D LUT processor with tetrahedral interpolation and supports multiple 1D LUTs and 3x3 matrices. This allows precise color grading, correction, and transformation in real time.

HDR and SDR Conversion Flexibility

The device supports HDR to SDR, SDR to HDR, and HDR-to-HDR conversions using industry standards like BT.709, BT.2020, PQ, and HLG. It also includes specialized pipelines such as ORION-CONVERT and BBC HLG LUTs for broadcast-grade workflows.

On-Set and Live Production Tools

OG-ColorBox includes frame store capture, overlay support, and test pattern generation up to 4K UltraHD. These tools make it suitable for DIT workflows, live monitoring, and virtual production environments.

Integration and Control

With an embedded web server and REST API, the device can be controlled remotely or integrated with third-party systems like Pomfort Livegrade, QTAKE, Assimilate, and Calman for advanced color management.
