OG-Hi5-12G is a professional openGear converter designed to transform 12G-SDI signals into HDMI 2.0 output with ultra-high fidelity. It supports 4K and UltraHD workflows up to 60 frames per second and ensures accurate color reproduction for broadcast and production environments.

Signal Conversion & Workflow

The device provides a 12G-SDI input with a reclocked loop-through output, enabling seamless integration into existing SDI pipelines while simultaneously delivering HDMI 2.0 monitoring output for displays and production monitoring systems.

HDR Support

OG-Hi5-12G supports HDR metadata generation in compliance with HDMI 2.0b and CTA-861-G standards, including HDR10 and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) formats for modern HDR workflows.

Video & Format Support

It supports multiple resolutions including 4K (4096x2160) and UltraHD (3840x2160), along with HD and SD formats, ensuring compatibility across production environments. High frame rate support up to 60p enables smooth motion rendering.

Audio Integration

The system supports embedded SDI audio up to 16 channels and outputs up to 8-channel HDMI audio. It also supports PCM and Dolby Digital formats including Dolby Digital Plus and Atmos (JOC).
