Building upon the proven mechanics of its predecessor, the 360 EVO features unlimited 360-degree rotation on both the pan and roll axes. By revolving smoothly around the optical center of the camera lens, this remote head allows operators to execute dramatic, continuous roll shots without drifting off-axis. Whether suspended from a massive tracking crane, mounted on a high-speed dolly, or rigged to an overhead cable-cam system at live sports events, the 360 EVO delivers exceptionally stable, cinematic camera movement.

Optimized Cable Routing and Power Supply

When managing complex, multi-axis spins, cable snags are a major hazard. The 360 EVO addresses this by grouping all primary interface connections directly at the rear of the head. This rear panel features a comprehensive selection of power and signal pipelines, including dedicated 12 V/24 V camera power, standard LBUS ports, 12 V AUX outputs, 12 V/Tally lines, and dedicated connections for high-performance external wireless radio modules. To handle high-bandwidth footage, the head also routes a clean, internal 6G-SDI video path directly through its internal slip rings, maintaining uninterrupted signal flow during infinite rolling moves.

Deep Ecosystem Integration and Dynamic Balancing

A key strength of the 360 EVO is its complete compatibility with the ARRI Camera Stabilizer System (CSS) family. The head utilizes the same software architecture, SAM quick-release adapter plates, and brackets found on the TRINITY 2 hybrid stabilizer. For quick balance corrections when swapping lenses, the head integrates with specialty accessories like the SSB-9 Counterweight Holder. By mounting the SSB-9 at the bottom of a SAM plate, operators can slide physical counterweights back and forth to achieve perfect static balance. Additionally, the TAB-1 (Top Attachment Bracket) can be rigged on 15 mm rods to stabilize long, nose-heavy cine zooms and keep the optical center perfectly aligned inside the roll ring.

Intuitive Control via the RCP-2 EVO

System programming and live operation are managed via the dedicated RCP-2 EVO remote control panel. Designed to minimize learning curves, the panel features highly tactile digital encoder buttons paired with an updated, high-contrast graphical user interface (GUI). This unified menu system matches the look and feel of other premium ARRI CSS devices. With the press of a button, operators can store multiple user-defined presets, configure PID motor tuning on the fly, adjust tilt speeds, or lock out specific axes, allowing remote operators to focus entirely on the creative composition of the shot.
