Innovative Dual-Base Lampholder System

At the core of the ARRIMAX 18/12 is a revolutionary lampholder designed to handle both 18,000 W and 12,000 W single-ended HMI lamps. The system supports sturdier GX51 lamp bases—which decouple mechanical weight from electrical contact pins—as well as standard G38 bases. The self-aligning lamp lock handle speeds up re-lamping on set while safeguarding expensive lamps against mechanical breakage.

Unrivaled Beam Control & Heavy Rigging Power

Equipped with its primary 580 mm faceted reflector, the ARRIMAX 18/12 smoothly focuses across a 15° to 50° beam range. For long-throw location shoots requiring maximum intensity, the beam can be tightened down to an 8° to 15° angle using an optional spot reflector. Built to handle extreme rigging configurations, it integrates seamlessly with motorized yokes like the BigBee and connects via standard high-power VEAM international connectors.
