Overview

The Blackmagic Design 2110 IP Mini IP to HDMI is a compact converter designed to monitor SMPTE ST 2110 IP video and audio on standard HDMI monitors and televisions. Its small form factor allows installation directly behind a display, making it well suited to broadcast monitoring and distributed IP video systems.

The converter receives SMPTE ST 2110 video over a 10G Ethernet connection and provides an HDMI output for monitoring. It supports both HD and Ultra HD standards up to 2160p60.

Performance

A 10Gb/s RJ45 Ethernet interface supports 10/100/1000/10G BASE-T for SMPTE ST 2110 IP video input, configuration and firmware updates. The same Ethernet connection supports PoE++ power, while an external 12V DC universal power supply is also provided.

The converter supports 16 channels of embedded audio from the incoming ST 2110 IP video. It also uses the Blackmagic IP10 codec when converting 12G-SDI data rates for transport over 10G ST 2110 IP networks.

Applications

The 2110 IP Mini IP to HDMI is suited to broadcast studios, control rooms, production facilities and professional AV installations that need compact HDMI monitoring endpoints on a SMPTE ST 2110 network.

Its combination of 10G Ethernet, PoE++ and compact construction allows the converter to be positioned behind an HDMI display with minimal additional cabling. A USB-C 3.0 interface is provided for configuration and firmware updates.
