Overview

The Blackmagic Design 2110 IP Presentation Converter is designed specifically for presentation podiums and connects computers, projectors, microphones and PA systems with professional live production infrastructure. It combines USB-C, HDMI, 12G-SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 IP connectivity in a single unit.

Computers can connect using either the front or rear USB-C input for video, while the rear USB-C connection also provides up to 45 W host charging. The HDMI output can feed a projector and can be switched between the local video input and the SMPTE 2110 IP return feed.

Performance

The converter provides two USB-C computer video inputs, one HDMI 2.0 input, one HDMI 2.0 output and one 12G-SDI output. The SDI output is automatically standards converted to the required destination format and supports SDI rates from 270Mb through 12G.

Its 10Gb/s RJ45 Ethernet interface supports SMPTE ST 2110 IP video input and output, configuration and firmware updates. Video support extends through Ultra HD 2160p60 and DCI 4K 60p.

Applications

The Presentation Converter is particularly suited to conference rooms, auditoriums, lecture halls, corporate presentation spaces and live event podiums. A presenter can connect a laptop while the converter interfaces directly with the facility's professional SMPTE 2110 or SDI production system.

Professional audio connectivity includes two combination 3-pin XLR/TRS microphone or line inputs with +48 V phantom power support, two channels of balanced XLR analog audio output and a 6.35 mm headphone connection.
