Overview

The Blackmagic Design 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G-10 is a rack-mount monitoring converter designed to convert either 12G-SDI or SMPTE ST 2110 IP video to HDMI. It supports SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K video standards and includes 3D LUT processing for accurate calibration of HDMI displays.

The key difference from the standard 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G is its expanded professional audio capability. The 12G-10 provides 10 independent balanced analog audio outputs on 3-pin XLR connectors, with remote level control and customizable delay for synchronization with televisions and projectors.

Performance

The converter has one SDI input, one SDI loop output and one HDMI 2.0 video output. Its SDI interface supports SD, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G rates. Unlike the standard model's single 10G connection, the 12G-10 provides two 10G Ethernet connections for SMPTE 2110 IP.

Supported formats extend from 525i59.94 NTSC and 625i50 PAL through HD, 2K DCI, Ultra HD 2160p60 and 4K DCI 60p. SMPTE compliance includes 259M, 274M, 292M, 296M, 424M, 425M Level A/B, 2036-1, 2048-1 and relevant 2081, 2082 and ST 2108-1 standards.

Applications

The 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G-10 is particularly suited to color-grading suites, editing rooms, theaters and professional monitoring installations where high-quality HDMI video and multichannel analog audio monitoring are required.

Its 10 XLR outputs make it suitable for surround-sound monitoring systems. The front panel also incorporates an LCD for video, audio meters and menus, along with a speaker and headphone connection.
