Overview

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4K is a powerful professional Ultra HD live production switcher designed for demanding broadcast, studio and live event workflows. It features 20 standards-converted 12G-SDI inputs and 12 12G-SDI outputs, providing extensive connectivity for larger multi-camera productions while supporting Ultra HD operation.

Performance / Features

The switcher features two M/E rows, with frame synchronization, frame-rate conversion and format conversion available on all 20 SDI inputs. Its production architecture includes two DVEs, eight ATEM Advanced Keyers, media players and SuperSource, providing a total of six DVE layers for sophisticated multi-layer compositions.

Two independent 12G-SDI multiview outputs provide comprehensive source monitoring, while the 12 SDI outputs can be configured for auxiliary, preview and program functions. A USB-C webcam output is also provided for computer-based video applications. Professional audio is handled by an integrated 48-channel Fairlight audio mixer with EQ and dynamics processing.

Applications / Integration

The ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4K is suited to television studios, sports production, concerts, live events, houses of worship, corporate AV, education and other professional multi-camera environments. Ethernet allows integration with ATEM Software Control and compatible hardware control panels, while its 12G-SDI architecture supports both HD and Ultra HD production workflows.
