Overview

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K is a high-capacity Ultra HD live production switcher designed for major broadcast, studio and live event workflows. It combines four M/E rows with 40 standards-converted 12G-SDI inputs and 28 12G-SDI video outputs, providing extensive connectivity for complex multi-camera productions. It supports HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60 with 10-bit 4:2:2 processing.

Performance / Features

All 40 12G-SDI inputs feature frame synchronization and format conversion, allowing compatible sources with different formats to be connected directly. The switcher provides 28 SDI video outputs, of which 24 can operate as auxiliary outputs, plus four independent Ultra HD multiview outputs.

Its production architecture includes four M/E rows, four DVEs, 16 ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, four media players and two SuperSource processors. The integrated 156-channel Fairlight audio mixer provides professional EQ and dynamics processing for large-scale productions.

Applications / Integration

The ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K is suited to television studios, OB production, sports, concerts, live events, houses of worship, corporate AV and other large multi-camera environments. Ethernet provides integration with ATEM Software Control and compatible hardware panels, while USB-C provides webcam output for computer-based workflows.
