Overview

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP Plus is the higher-capacity model in the ATEM Constellation IP family, designed for large SMPTE 2110 broadcast infrastructures. It provides 64 native IP video inputs and uses redundant 100G Ethernet connectivity to handle uncompressed professional video, audio and ancillary data over IP.

Performance / Features

The switcher features four M/E rows and supports Ultra HD production up to 2160p60 with 10-bit 4:2:2 processing. All 64 IP inputs include standards conversion and resynchronization, making the system suitable for complex live environments where incoming sources may use different supported formats or timing.

Its IP infrastructure uses redundant QSFP28 100G Ethernet connections and supports SMPTE ST 2110 with SMPTE ST 2022-7 redundancy. The production engine includes four DVEs, advanced keying, four media players, four multiviews and two SuperSource processors for sophisticated multi-layer productions.

Applications / Integration

ATEM 4 M/E Constellation IP Plus is designed for television networks, broadcast facilities, OB production, sports, major live events and other high-channel-count IP production environments. Its native SMPTE 2110 architecture allows facilities to build large video systems around high-bandwidth Ethernet infrastructure rather than conventional point-to-point SDI cabling.
