Overview

The Blackmagic Design ATEM Constellation 8K is a high-end 4 M/E live production switcher designed for large broadcast and event productions. It provides 40 independent 12G-SDI inputs for HD and Ultra HD operation, which combine into 10 Quad Link 12G-SDI inputs when operating in native 8K.

Performance / Features

All 40 SDI inputs feature resynchronization and frame-rate and format conversion. The switcher supports HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p60 and native 8K formats up to 4320p60. In 8K mode, multiple resources are combined to maintain full-resolution 8K production capabilities.

The production engine includes four M/E rows, four DVEs, 16 ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, four media players and two SuperSource processors. Four independent Ultra HD multiviews are available, which combine into a single native 8K multiview when operating in 8K. A professional 156-channel Fairlight audio mixer is also integrated.

ATEM Constellation 8K is designed for television studios, OB production, concerts, sports, major live events and other high-end multi-camera environments. Its multi-rate 12G-SDI architecture allows the same switcher to operate across HD, Ultra HD and native 8K production workflows.
