Overview

The Blackmagic Design ATEM Monitoring Rack Panel 40 combines a professional SMPTE 2110 monitoring converter with an ATEM switcher control panel in a 2RU rackmount design. It provides 40 source buttons and a large 5-inch LCD, making it suitable for local control and monitoring in professional IP broadcast installations.

Performance / Features

The panel accepts one SMPTE 2110 IP video source through two redundant 10G Ethernet connections and converts it to two 12G-SDI monitor outputs and one HDMI output. SMPTE ST 2022-7 redundancy allows the same IP stream to be delivered over two separate 2110 networks for increased reliability.

A separate 1G Ethernet connection provides switcher and NMOS control, while USB-C is provided for configuration and software updates. The unit also incorporates a 5-pin XLR talkback connection and redundant AC power inputs for professional installations.

Applications / Integration

ATEM Monitoring Rack Panel 40 is designed for broadcast studios, control rooms, OB facilities and SMPTE 2110 production environments. It allows operators to control a local ATEM switcher while converting an IP video source for conventional SDI and HDMI monitoring.
