Overview

The Blackmagic Design ATEM SDI Extreme ISO is an advanced professional live production switcher built for larger SDI-based multi-camera productions. It combines eight standards-converted 3G-SDI inputs with integrated hardware streaming, comprehensive ISO recording, multiview monitoring and powerful broadcast effects in a compact desktop design.

The Extreme ISO expands the ATEM SDI platform for productions requiring more cameras, more keying and greater post-production flexibility while retaining the reliability and long cable runs associated with professional SDI workflows.

Performance / Features

The ATEM SDI Extreme ISO provides eight 3G-SDI inputs with standards conversion and resynchronization on every input. Four 3G-SDI outputs provide flexible program, preview and auxiliary monitoring, while two USB-C connections support webcam and recording workflows.

Its ISO recording system can record all eight video inputs plus the program output as separate H.264 files. It also saves a DaVinci Resolve project, allowing the original live production to be reopened and re-edited after the event.

The integrated hardware streaming engine supports direct streaming over Ethernet without requiring a separate streaming computer. Advanced production capabilities include SuperSource, multiple upstream and downstream keyers, chroma keying, DVE, transitions, media players and a powerful Fairlight audio mixer.
