Overview

The Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G is a professional 8-lane PCI Express capture and playback card designed for digital cinema, broadcast and post-production workflows. It combines dual multi-rate 12G-SDI connections with HDMI and extensive analog connectivity, supporting formats from SD through Ultra HD and DCI 4K.

Performance

DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G provides two 12G-SDI inputs and two 12G-SDI outputs with single and dual-link 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 support. It handles Ultra HD up to 2160p60, while Blackmagic specifies full-frame DCI 4K 4096 × 2160 support up to 25p.

Professional image processing includes 10-bit YUV and up to 12-bit RGB capture, hardware colorspace conversion, 3D stereoscopic processing and built-in up, down and cross conversion. The card also supports 16 channels of embedded SDI audio and 8 channels over HDMI.

Applications

DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G is suited to high-end video editing, color grading, digital cinema, broadcast graphics, mastering, live production and professional video capture. Optional optical-fiber modules can be installed for long-distance SDI connectivity at speeds up to 12G-SDI.
