Overview

The Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro Mini is a professional low-profile PCI Express capture and playback card designed for high-resolution broadcast, post-production and digital cinema workflows. It features four independent bidirectional 12G-SDI micro-BNC connections and supports formats ranging from SD and HD through Ultra HD, DCI 4K, 8K and DCI 8K.

Its compact low-profile design makes it suitable for workstations where installation space is limited while still providing the high-bandwidth video I/O required for demanding 4K and 8K production environments.

Performance

DeckLink 8K Pro Mini supports DCI 8K and 8K capture and playback at frame rates up to 60 fps, while selected UHD 4K, DCI 4K, 2K and HD formats support high frame rates up to 120 fps. The card supports 8-bit and 10-bit YUV along with 8-bit, 10-bit and 12-bit RGB video, providing the precision required for professional color correction, visual effects and mastering workflows.

The four bidirectional 12G-SDI connections can be configured for quad-link 8K, single or dual-link 4K, UHD, HD and SD workflows. Capture and playback can also be performed simultaneously. Each SDI connection supports embedded audio, with up to 64 channels available across the card.

The DeckLink 8K Pro Mini is suited to professional editing, color grading, visual effects, broadcast graphics, digital cinema mastering, live production and high-resolution capture and playback systems. Its support for SD through 8K makes it useful for facilities that work with multiple generations of broadcast and cinema formats.

It integrates with professional production applications including DaVinci Resolve, Fusion, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer and numerous third-party broadcast and production platforms.
