Overview

The Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2 is a professional PCI Express capture and playback card featuring four independent bidirectional 3G-SDI connections. Each connection can be independently configured as an input or output, effectively providing the flexibility of four separate capture or playback channels on a single card.

The card supports SD and HD SDI formats up to 1080p60 and includes a dedicated reference input for synchronization with professional studio equipment.

Performance

DeckLink Duo 2 provides four independently configurable 12-bit SD/HD SDI connections with support for 3G-SDI workflows. It handles 720p, 1080i, 1080PsF and 1080p formats, including 1080p50, 1080p59.94 and 1080p60. Each SDI channel supports 16 channels of embedded audio.

The card uses a PCI Express Gen 2 x4 interface and includes real-time color-space conversion as well as SD/HD up, down and cross-conversion capabilities.

Applications

DeckLink Duo 2 is designed for multi-channel broadcast and professional video applications including media playout systems, real-time multi-channel capture, multi-screen digital signage and other software-defined video systems.

Its independently configurable SDI channels allow a workstation to be adapted for different combinations of capture and playback rather than being restricted to a fixed input/output configuration.
