Overview

The Blackmagic Design DeckLink IP HD is a professional PCI Express capture and playback card designed for SMPTE 2110 IP broadcast infrastructures. A single 10G BASE-T RJ45 Ethernet connection provides two independent video capture channels and two playback channels, eliminating the need for conventional SDI connections in IP-based facilities.

Performance

DeckLink IP HD supports two input and two output channels simultaneously, with each channel supporting video up to 1080p60 plus 16 channels of embedded audio. Supported formats include 525i, 625i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

The card supports high-quality workflows including Apple ProRes, DNxHD and 10-bit uncompressed video. Color processing includes 8, 10 and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 up to 1080p30 and 8 or 10-bit YUV 4:2:2, with Rec. 601, Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces.

Applications

DeckLink IP HD is designed for SMPTE 2110 broadcast studios, playout systems, ingest servers, broadcast graphics, editing systems and other professional IP production environments. It supports SMPTE 2110-20 video, 2110-21 traffic shaping, 2110-30 PCM audio and 2110-40 ancillary data. PTP synchronization and NMOS discovery and connection management are also supported.
