Overview

The Blackmagic Design DeckLink IP/SDI HD is a professional PCI Express capture and playback card designed to bridge traditional SDI and modern SMPTE 2110 IP broadcast infrastructures. It combines a 10G BASE-T Ethernet connection with two independently configurable bidirectional 3G-SDI ports, allowing the same workstation to operate with both IP and SDI equipment.

Performance

The 10G Ethernet interface provides two SMPTE 2110 capture channels and two playback channels, with each channel supporting video up to 1080p60 and 16 channels of embedded audio. The two 3G-SDI connections are independently configurable as inputs or outputs and support 12-bit SD and HD operation.

The card supports SD and HD formats including 525i59.94, 625i50, 720p up to 60 fps, 1080i up to 60 fps and 1080p up to 60 fps. Professional recording formats include Apple ProRes, DNxHD and 10-bit uncompressed video.

Applications

DeckLink IP/SDI HD is designed for broadcast studios transitioning from SDI to SMPTE 2110, as well as ingest, playout, graphics, editing, streaming and broadcast automation systems. PTP synchronization and NMOS support allow the card to integrate into standards-based IP production environments.
