Product Overview +
Overview
The Blackmagic Design DeckLink Micro Recorder is a miniature low-latency video capture card developed for compact and embedded professional video systems. It supports single-channel capture of SD and HD video formats up to 1080p30 and connects to a host computer through a 1-lane Generation 1 Mini PCI Express interface.
SDI or HDMI video inputs can be added using the card's built-in Hirose and Molex connectors. Blackmagic identifies the exact order code as BDLKMICROREC, with dedicated HDMI and SDI cable accessories available separately.
Performance
DeckLink Micro Recorder supports 525i59.94 NTSC and 625i50 PAL SD formats, plus 720p50/59.94/60 and a range of 1080p, 1080i and 1080PsF HD formats. Progressive 1080 capture is supported up to 1080p30.
Video sampling is 4:2:2 with 8-bit and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 color precision. The card complies with SMPTE 259M, 292M and 296M standards as well as HDMI. Maximum power consumption is only 3 W, making it suitable for space and power-constrained embedded systems.
Applications
Its miniature Mini PCIe architecture makes the DeckLink Micro Recorder particularly suitable for embedded video systems, custom OEM hardware, compact capture appliances and specialized professional video equipment where a conventional full-size PCIe capture card is impractical.
With both SDI and HDMI connectivity options, system designers can configure the capture interface appropriate to the intended professional or commercial video application.
