Overview

The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR is a professional Ultra HD broadcast recorder and playback deck combining high-performance recording with an integrated HDR monitoring system. It supports SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60 and provides 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0 and legacy analog video connectivity.

Performance

HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR records and plays H.265 and Apple ProRes files, providing efficient recording for professional broadcast and production workflows. It incorporates HDR support, 33-point 3D LUT processing and a large 7-inch 1920 × 1200 touchscreen rated at 2000 nits with 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

The deck provides one 12G-SDI input, two 12G-SDI main outputs, a dedicated 3G-SDI monitoring output, HDMI 2.0 input and output, and component and composite analog video inputs. Professional audio capabilities include four balanced analog XLR channels, two RCA channels, 64-channel embedded SDI audio and eight-channel embedded HDMI audio.

Applications

HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR is designed for broadcast mastering, live production, ISO recording, clip playback, digital signage and content archiving. Its analog inputs also make it useful for transferring legacy video material into modern digital formats, while 10G Ethernet enables high-speed network media transfer.
