Overview

The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR is a professional 8K broadcast recorder and playback deck designed for high-end television, live production and mastering workflows. It combines native 8K recording, HDR monitoring, advanced H.265 compression, optional internal cache recording and professional broadcast connectivity in a compact half-rack-width, 3RU design.

Performance

HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR supports native 8K video formats up to 4320p60 as well as Ultra HD, HD and SD workflows. Four 12G-SDI connections provide the bandwidth required for high-resolution 8K signals, while HDMI 2.0 provides additional video connectivity.

The integrated 7-inch 1920 × 1200 HDR touchscreen delivers 2000-nit brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Built-in professional scopes include waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope and histogram, while 33-point 3D LUT support enables accurate monitoring across SDR and HDR workflows.
