Overview

The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G is a high-performance IP broadcast recorder specifically designed for multicamera live production. It simultaneously records up to eight SMPTE 2110 video channels as individual broadcast-quality ProRes files directly to network storage, making the recordings immediately available for editing, color correction or live-action replay in DaVinci Resolve.

Performance

The HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G can handle eight simultaneous Ultra HD or eight HD video channels. Its architecture is designed around 100G Ethernet, allowing all eight video streams to travel through a single high-bandwidth network connection rather than requiring separate conventional video connections for every camera.

Two 100G QSFP28 connections support SMPTE ST 2022-7 redundant delivery across two SMPTE 2110 networks. The recorder also provides dual 10G RJ45 Ethernet connections for NMOS control and dedicated Ethernet connectivity for the SMPTE 2110 PTP reference clock.

Applications

HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G is designed for live television, sports, concerts, multicamera events, broadcast studios and replay environments. Recording every camera separately gives production teams much greater flexibility for post-production and enables DaVinci Resolve based live-action replay workflows. It can also simultaneously play back eight channels for system testing and training.

For facilities that still require conventional SDI connectivity, the recorder can be paired with the Blackmagic SDI Expander 8x12G to add 12G-SDI connections.
