Overview

The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is a professional 1RU broadcast recorder and playback deck designed for demanding Ultra HD production. It combines 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 connectivity with dual SSD slots, dual SD card slots, USB-C external recording and high-speed 10G Ethernet networking. B&H identifies this exact model as HYPERD/ST/DG4P.

Performance

HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro supports SD and HD along with Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60, while 2K and 4K DCI formats are supported up to 30p. Its multi-rate SDI system automatically handles 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G-SDI signals.

The deck records ProRes and DNx formats and supports H.264 for SD and HD workflows, while H.265 is available when recording Ultra HD. Its two 12G-SDI outputs support ProRes 4444 fill and key playback in Ultra HD, making the unit suitable for graphics and animation playback as well as conventional recording.

Applications

HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is designed for broadcast mastering, ISO recording, studio ingest, live production, graphics playback, archiving and digital signage. Professional integration includes RS-422 deck control, XLR timecode I/O, reference input and output, 10G Ethernet and USB-C connectivity.
