Overview

The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio HD Plus is a compact professional broadcast recorder and playback deck that expands on the HD Mini with additional video connections and enhanced front-panel controls. Its half-rack-width, 1RU design makes it suitable for both portable production systems and permanent broadcast installations.

Performance

HyperDeck Studio HD Plus features 6G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs and supports recording and playback up to Ultra HD 2160p30. Its two 6G-SDI outputs can also provide fill and key playback up to 1080p60, making the deck useful for graphics and keyed playback workflows.

The recorder supports Apple ProRes, DNxHD and H.264 codecs, with 10-bit 4:2:2 video processing. HDR workflows are supported along with Rec. 601, Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces, and 33-point 3D LUTs can be applied to the dedicated SDI monitoring output.

Applications

HyperDeck Studio HD Plus is ideal for broadcast recording, master playback, ISO recording, graphics playback, live production and studio installations. Dual SD card slots provide convenient recording media, while USB-C supports external disk recording. Gigabit Ethernet and RS-422 provide professional remote deck control and integration.
