Overview

The Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro 4K is a PCI Express capture and playback card designed for professional video editing, streaming, monitoring and legacy video ingest. It supports HDMI plus analog component, composite and S-Video sources, providing compatibility with everything from modern Ultra HD equipment to older analog video devices.

Performance

Intensity Pro 4K supports Ultra HD video up to 2160p30 and Full HD video up to 1080p60. HDMI connections can switch between SD, HD and Ultra HD, while component analog connectivity supports SD and HD. The HDMI 1.4b interface supports Deep Color and 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 video sampling.

The card uses a 4-lane PCI Express interface and can be installed in compatible x4, x8 or x16 PCIe slots. It supports both compressed and uncompressed workflows, including ProRes, DNxHD/DNxHR and uncompressed 8-bit and 10-bit formats.

Applications

Intensity Pro 4K is suitable for video editing, live streaming, gameplay capture, video conferencing, client monitoring and digitizing legacy video sources such as VHS. The included breakout cable provides analog component, composite, S-Video and RCA audio connectivity.
