Overview

The Blackmagic Design Media Player 10G is a professional capture and playback solution designed for live production, broadcast graphics and replay workflows. It combines 12G-SDI capture and playback, dedicated fill and key outputs, extended desktop connectivity and high-speed 10G Ethernet through a Thunderbolt-connected computer.

Performance

Media Player 10G supports SD, HD, 2K and Ultra HD video standards up to 2160p60 through its multi-rate 12G-SDI connections. It provides a dedicated 12G-SDI capture input along with separate fill, key, loop, extended desktop and monitoring SDI connections.

Its 10G Ethernet interface gives the connected computer high-speed access to network storage, which is particularly useful when accessing multiple ISO recordings for replay. The Thunderbolt connection supports simultaneous real-time capture and playback with very low latency.

Applications

The Media Player 10G is particularly suited to DaVinci Resolve live replay, broadcast graphics, news production, sports production, live events and editing environments. Separate 10-bit SDI fill and key outputs allow graphics containing alpha channels to be connected directly to compatible production switchers for keyed overlays.
