Overview

The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 3G wPSU is a miniature broadcast-quality converter that simultaneously converts SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI. The two conversion directions can operate at the same time, making it suitable for integrating HDMI and professional SDI equipment within the same production workflow.

It provides one SD/HD/3G-SDI input and output together with HDMI Type-A input and output. The converter also supports Blackmagic Camera Control protocol conversion for integrating compatible Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras with professional SDI live-production switchers.

Performance

The converter supports NTSC and PAL SD standards together with 720p, 1080i, 1080PsF and 1080p formats through 60 fps. SDI support also extends to DCI 2K formats through 60p. Multi-rate operation automatically detects SD or HD signals.

Built-in SDI reclocking helps maintain signal integrity, while USB Type-C provides configuration, software updates and power connectivity.
