Overview

The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G wPSU is a compact broadcast-quality converter for connecting HDMI cameras, computers and other HDMI sources to professional SDI equipment. It features one full-size HDMI 2.0 Type-A input and two 12G-SDI outputs that automatically match the incoming HDMI video signal.

This wPSU version includes a +5V universal power supply with international socket adapters for most countries. The converter can also be powered via its USB Type-C connection.

Performance

The converter supports SD, HD, Ultra HD up to 2160p60 and 4K DCI up to 60p. Its SDI connections support 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G rates, while automatic multi-rate detection simplifies operation with different source formats.

Both 12G-SDI outputs are reclocked, and Level A or Level B can be selected for 3G-SDI output. Video processing uses 4:2:2 YUV, and a 33-point LUT can be loaded through the software utility. Maximum power consumption is 4 W.

Applications

Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G wPSU is suited to live production, broadcast facilities, studios, AV installations and portable production systems where HDMI cameras or computers need to connect to professional SDI infrastructure.

The two SDI outputs allow the converted HDMI source to feed two professional SDI destinations simultaneously, while the included universal power supply makes this version convenient for permanent installations and field use.
