Overview

The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 12G wPSU is a miniature broadcast-quality converter designed for professional monitoring. It converts professional SDI sources to HDMI for connection to monitors, televisions and projectors while providing a dedicated SDI loop output.

It features one 12G-SDI input, one SDI loop output and one full-size HDMI 2.0 Type-A output. The converter automatically detects SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K signals and supports SDI rates of 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G.

Unlike the standard version, this wPSU package includes a universal power supply with international AC plug adapters. It can alternatively be powered over USB.

Performance

Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 12G wPSU supports video standards ranging from NTSC and PAL through 720p, 1080p, 1080PsF and 1080i, as well as 2K DCI, Ultra HD up to 2160p60 and 4K DCI up to 60p.

The converter provides 4:2:2 YUV processing and supports a 33-point 3D LUT that can be loaded through the software utility for monitor calibration or color adjustment. It automatically detects Level A or Level B on 3G-SDI signals.

Applications

The Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 12G wPSU is suited to broadcast monitoring, studios, live production, OB systems and professional AV installations where SDI sources need to be displayed on HDMI monitors, projectors or televisions.

The included universal power supply makes this version particularly convenient for fixed installations and portable systems where a dedicated AC power source is preferred instead of relying solely on USB power.
