Overview

The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 3G wPSU is a compact broadcast-quality converter designed specifically for professional monitoring. It provides one SD, HD or 3G-SDI input, one SDI loop output and a full-size HDMI Type-A output for connecting professional SDI equipment to HDMI monitors, projectors and televisions.

This wPSU version includes a +5V universal power supply with international socket adapters. The converter can also use its USB Type-C connection for power, configuration and software updates.

Performance

The converter supports NTSC and PAL SD formats, 720p, 1080i, 1080PsF and progressive HD formats through 1080p60. SDI also supports DCI 2K formats through 60p. It automatically detects SD, HD and Level A or Level B 3G-SDI signals.

A built-in 17-point 3D LUT can be loaded using Blackmagic's software utility for monitor calibration or color adjustment. The LUT can also be applied to the SDI loop output. Video processing uses 4:2:2 YUV, and power consumption is only 1.6 W.

Applications

Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 3G wPSU is suited to broadcast monitoring, live production, studios, AV systems and portable production environments where professional SDI sources need to connect to HDMI displays.

The SDI loop output allows the incoming signal to continue to another SDI device while simultaneously providing HDMI monitoring. The included universal power supply makes this version particularly convenient for permanent installations and production kits.
