Overview

The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI Distribution is a professional distribution converter that takes a single SDI source and simultaneously distributes it to eight SDI outputs. All eight outputs are fully reclocked and automatically match the incoming SDI format.

It supports SD, HD and 3G-SDI signals, along with ASI, ancillary data and embedded audio formats. This model is intended for SD and HD workflows where Ultra HD support is not required.

Performance

The converter automatically detects SD, HD and Level B 3G-SDI signals. It supports standard definition NTSC and PAL, HD formats including 720p, 1080i, 1080PsF and 1080p through 60 fps, plus 2K DCI progressive and PsF formats.

It supports 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 SDI video sampling, YUV and RGB color spaces and 48 kHz 24-bit embedded SDI audio. Built-in reclocking is provided across the outputs to maintain signal integrity.

Applications

The Mini Converter SDI Distribution is suitable for broadcast studios, live production, OB systems and professional AV installations where a single SDI signal needs to feed multiple destinations.

Its eight outputs can distribute a source to monitors, recorders, switchers, routers and other SDI equipment simultaneously.
