Overview

The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI to Analog 4K converts professional SD, HD, 3G and 6G-SDI sources for use with analog video equipment. It provides analog NTSC, PAL, S-Video and component SD/HD outputs, allowing modern SDI equipment to interface with legacy monitors, decks and other analog hardware.

A built-in down converter allows Ultra HD SDI sources to be connected to SD or HD analog equipment. The unit also provides a primary SDI input, redundant alternate SDI input and an SDI loop output.

Performance

The Mini Converter SDI to Analog 4K supports SD, HD, 3G and 6G-SDI input signals, with automatic format detection. Supported input formats extend from NTSC and PAL through 720p and 1080 formats to Ultra HD 2160p30.

Its analog output supports NTSC, PAL, S-Video and SD/HD component video. Supported analog formats include 525i59.94 NTSC, 625i50 PAL, 720p up to 60 fps, 1080p through 30 fps and 1080i through 60 fps. The converter also provides HD down conversion.

Applications

The Mini Converter SDI to Analog 4K is particularly useful for integrating modern SDI infrastructure with legacy analog equipment such as Betacam SP decks, VHS equipment, component video monitors and other analog production hardware.

Balanced analog and AES/EBU audio outputs also allow embedded SDI audio to be extracted for connection to professional audio equipment. The redundant SDI input automatically takes over if the primary SDI input is lost.
