Overview

The Blackmagic Design MultiView 4 lets you simultaneously monitor four completely independent SDI video sources on a single HD or Ultra HD display. Its four 6G-SDI inputs feature full frame re-synchronization, allowing SD, HD and Ultra HD sources with different formats and frame rates to be displayed together.

When connected to an Ultra HD display, each quadrant can display a full-resolution 1920 × 1080 HD image. Audio meter overlays and custom labels can also be displayed for individual views.

Performance

MultiView 4 provides four 10-bit SD/HD/6G-SDI inputs, four SDI loop outputs, one HD/Ultra HD SDI multiview output and one HDMI Type A multiview output. It automatically detects SD, HD and 6G-SDI independently on each input.

Input support extends from SD through HD and 2K to Ultra HD 2160p30 and DCI 4K 24p. Multiview output supports 1080i50/59.94 or Ultra HD 2160p25/29.97. SDI outputs include reclocking.

Applications

MultiView 4 is suited to broadcast studios, production control rooms, live events, OB systems and professional AV installations where several SDI feeds need to be monitored on one display.

Configuration is available over RJ45 Ethernet or USB 2.0. The standard unit has no built-in control panel, but it supports the optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel, which adds a 2.2-inch color LCD and menu controls.
